FROM MY HEART

I am the loved one in your life that cries for you in your pain,

and hears and feels your frustration.

I am the loved one in your life that is there for you when you need to be heard and need
that real love and understanding when you are trying to sort things out.

I am the loved one that begged you to seek help because you mean so very much.

I am the loved one that fears for your life and is fighting the addiction issues with you,
always fearing that the next time you use could be the last time I see you.

I am the loved one who is thankful you are here today to share and create new memories.

I am your loved one...

I loved Vincent Law. He was the love of my life. I now walk the journey alone. He never believed that the drug would win and death would be his bottom by using 'just a bit', one more time.

I do not use drugs, but I walked the walk with him, so I don't understand what triggers one to use, but I do believe YOU need to make it for I know your loved ones never want to be me - living through the pain of loss and loneliness.

I sincerely hope that you seek and make the effort to work with the programs and make the choice never to be like our Vince.

You are here today ...

Sincerely,
Christina

Drug abuse has   such a devastating effect on our lives!!
They have side effects.....check it out!!

Shocking mug shots reveal toll of drug abuse.

Perhaps we should all take a look at the information now available  on the internet showing the damage to the brain when  certain drugs are used. Some, it appears are able to withstand more than others ,but the reality is it does  have the most effect on the frontal part of the brain which helps us control urges. That is just one of the many reasons some if not most, will fall into addiction with all the terrible loss of control over one's life. We have all known of friends, coworkers, or family members that have lost all ability to stop using. It certainly  is a sad thing to watch as family members and true friends can attest to. It is another thing to ponder that when you have lost the normal capabilities through the use of these drugs, your so called friends that you trusted  that made money from you using, now are nowhere to be found. The true love  will only be shown by those non addicted friends or family. Those that were there to supply you are only interested in you as long as you can pay them with money, or sex.Can you imagine a man or woman that wanted to find themselves unable to work and hold a job, lose the children, lose  a lover or spouse? Of course not, but it happens to many many people.I know of some and so do you. That is one reason to educate our friends and family to show that they must LOOK BEYOND ADDICTION, as addiction is only one part of the terrible costs of using. It is also important to talk about the health costs it leads one into.

.Before you travel down that dangerous road, stop and consider where it has led many before you.The only reason that  this addiction problem exists is that it is a great generator of money for the few.Talk about it.It is a reality that destroys

.All can fall into addiction, and there is a lot of money made from that reality. As long as there are people ready to take advantage of anyone  for monetary gain, we are fighting greed and money.A tough battle. We  realize there is a need for  what we stand for, and we know that it will take a lot of work and money to further our aims. Many others have given of themselves  to show support to the Foundation and to others they know are, or have been caught in this web of addiction.People do care! You do matter! We sure would like to form a support group to be there for those struggling  with addiction and will when finances allow it. We must be out there to show those that have fallen  how they can beat addiction by teaching their brain new channels of thought that only they can do. Addiction can be controlled as many have shown, and we need support groups to teach the basic ways to do that..  We need your feed back and experiences to share with others to offer those fallen ones hope! ,........please always remember...A few moments pleasure traded for a lifetime struggle!   Think it over!  Just a few thoughts from    BB.
